You will start the tour by ascending Mombacho Volcano in the eco-movil. Mombacho volcano has been dormant for hundreds of years but there is still evidence of latent geothermal activity in the form of fumaroles and gas vents. The summit is covered by tropical cloud forest and you will hike the Crater trail which will take you around one side of the volcano to an area where you will find an abundance of wild flowers including orchids. The trail will take between 1- 1½ hours and is well marked with a well maintained surface for walking. If the weather permits you will have spectacular views of Granada, Lake Nicaragua and Masaya Volcano.
